This is designed for your extra heavy electric bikes with a weight capacity of 60 pounds as well as your fat tire bikes. This is a front wheel mount bike rack, so if you want something that is good for maybe those larger beach cruisers, maybe electric cruisers, this is going to be a good choice for you without having to pay a premium price for premium features. Now this does have some downsides to like the lack of tilting away as well as the overall construction of the rack might require a few extra steps. more

It's gonna be a platform style bike rack holding the bike in these trays, and primarily by the frame up here. Because it's making frame contact, we wanna avoid our carbon frame bikes, but with the way it attaches here with this pivoting clamp, it is gonna work well with our alternative frame bikes like you see here. With a 60 pound weight capacity it is also going to work with our e-bikes. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the Swagman E-Spec here on our 2022 Ram 1500 Classic. Now this is a bike rack and a platform style bike rack that holds a bike in these cradles, and primarily with this frame hooked up top. That means we're going to want to avoid our carbon frame bikes. And with our alternative frame bikes, we are gonna want to pick up a bike adapter bar to make sure that we're getting a good secure fit. It is capable of folding up to 70 pounds per bike though, making it really good for our e-bikes. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman XTC2 TILT Bike Rack here on our 2022 Ram 1500 Classic. That's a platform style bike rack holding the bike in these wheel hoops, primarily holding it down into place with this frame hook right here. Because it makes frame contact, we want avoid our carbon frame bikes and with the way it makes frame contact, this hook coming down on it, our alternative frame bikes and kids' bikes are probably gonna need a bike adapter bar. The kids' bike might be okay, though, depending on where you put it because this can ratchet down pretty low, but you can see with the second hook here, we're kind of limited by where that first hook goes. more

Now, the Premium is a four-bike rack, and a hanging-style rack, which means the bike hangs by the frame here. That means we do wanna avoid our carbon-frame bikes because that will damage the frame. And with alternative frame bikes we will probably need to pick up a bike adapter bar to ensure that it fits properly. more

Now the Sherpa is a platform style bike rack holding the bike in these trays and primarily by the front tire here. We do have a secondary point of contact at the back but this primary method is gonna mean zero frame contact, making it good for our carbon frame bikes, our alternative frame bikes here, 'cause we're not relying on that frame contact and it does have a 40 pound weight capacity per bike. So not the best for e-bikes. If you are looking for something that can perform a bit better in that category, you can check out the RockyMounts MonoRail. more

Now this is a really solid bike rack if you're looking for something that they can carry e-bikes really well, will work with your tailgate and is gonna be super easy to operate, this is gonna check all those boxes and is one of my personal favorites. It is a platform style bike rack here, so it's gonna hold the bike in this tray. And our primary point of contact is this clamp up top that is gonna make frame contact, so do avoid your carbon frame bikes but because of the way that clamp pivots and rotate the a hundred, sorry, 360 degrees it is going to be good for alternative frame bikes. more

This is going to be able to hold up to two bikes and one of the main features, it's going to allow you to tilt with your bikes installed. You just pull this blue little lever down there and that's going to allow you to open your tailgate. We do have some contact here with our bike which isn't going to allow you to fully open your tailgate, but if you do need to grab stuff, you can lift it to about this position before you make any contact there.This is going to hold two different bikes with no frame contact, which is going to be very nice for all your higher end bikes. more

You pull this little lever here and it's going to be able to tilt, which will give you a little bit more access to the bed of your truck. We don't completely clear. We do have a little bit of contact down there on the wheel cradles, but there still is plenty of room for you to at least go in and grab something real quick. more

This is going to be a bike rack that's going to be able to hold up to four bikes, but it is going to be limited to only fork style front suspension bikes. It does have a couple different features that makes it very unique. One of them being is you can tilt these with the bikes installed, which is very, very nice to have, especially with this truck.We do have plenty of clearance down here. It is somewhat close to the spinal lip, but I was jumping on this tailgate earlier and it's not going to get any closer, and it's not going to make any contact, so you can go ahead and grab whatever you need out of the bed of your Ram.While it's down here, I can show you how this really mounts your bike onto the rack. more

You're going to have a nice rubberized, high quality durable strap up here and all you really need to do to get these undone is just pull them and throw them over the side there. As you can see, not only is it going to protect your frame with this rubber coating underneath here, it does leave room for your bike cables so it's not smashing up against your frame. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at Thule's Helium Pro Hanging Style Bike Rack on our 2019 Ram 1500.This is going to be able to hold up to two bikes with three different tie down points per bike. You're going to have two zip tie style straps up top, and an anti-sway cradle down at the bottom. What that's going to do, it's going to limit that bike-to-bike contact that you get when you're going down the road.It's fairly simple to remove your bike from the rack. You just got to press in these little pins right here, and if you notice there is a nice rubber texture to the inside of the strap, it's going to protect that top part of your frame whenever you have them all strapped down. And you do have a nice rubber insert right here with these little divots, which is going to make room for your bike cables just so they're not smashing up against your frame when you're going down the road. more
